Venice and its islands

Venice is a unique city in the world, famous for its canals, historic buildings and fascinating squares.

The Basilica of San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, the Palazzo Ducale and the Gallerie dell’Accademia are some of the most famous monuments. A city of art, history and beauty to be discovered by walking through its streets, and admiring its artistic treasures.
Not far from the historic center of Venice, do not miss the islands of the lagoon, each with its own charm and among the best known:
– Murano, also known as the island of glass and famous for its glass-blowing furnaces and ateliers;
– Burano, anglers’ island known throughout the world, is full of colorful houses and famous for its fine lace. Do not miss a visit to the Museo del Merletto (Lace Museum) and a break in the fresh fish restaurants scattered around the island.
– Torcello is the oldest and least populated island absolutely loved by Hemingway, with its thousand-year-old basilica, the oldest in the lagoon.
